Reed Switch Module 3 PINS
The Reed Module is a compact and efficient magnetic field detection sensor designed for integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It features a normally open reed switch that closes in the presence of a magnetic field, triggering a digital output. The onboard LM393 voltage comparator ensures clean signal processing, while an adjustable potentiometer allows for sensitivity tuning. With its straightforward 3-pin interface (VCC, GND, DO), this module is ideal for applications requiring reliable magnetic field detection.
Features:
- Normally open reed switch activated by magnetic fields
- LM393 voltage comparator for clean digital output
- Adjustable sensitivity via onboard potentiometer
- Digital output (HIGH/LOW) for easy microcontroller interfacing
- Power and status indicator LEDs
- Operating voltage: 3.3V to 5V DC
- Compact PCB with mounting holes for easy installation
PINOUT:

- GND
- Vcc
- Digital Signal
Module Connections:

The reed switch module includes a reed switch, potentiometer, LM393 comparator, LED, and other components. The internal circuit is shown below. When a magnet is near the module, it activates, and the module outputs a low-level signal.
When there is no magnetic field, it deactivates and outputs a high-level signal. The effective sensing range between the reed switch and the magnet should be within 1.5 cm—beyond this distance, the sensitivity decreases or the trigger may not occur. You can also fine-tune the sensitivity using the potentiometer on the module.
